The Jacobsen Brewhouse

A visit to Carlsberg is also a visit to the fabulous Jacobsen Brewhouse. Carlsberg's still active gourmet brewery is responsible for keeping the spirit and legacy of Carlsberg's founder J.C. Jacobsen alive here on the historic hill in Valby, Copenhagen.

The Jacobsen Brewhouse resides in J.C. Jacobsen's Old Carlsberg Brewery dating back to 1847. The Jacobsen Brewhouse brews on the original philosophy of Semper Ardens (meaning "Forever Burning"), which earlier on was a very popular series of Carlsberg specialty beers. Now the soul and the taste of Semper Ardens has been handed its own brewhouse here in heart of the historic Carlsberg.

Here you can feel the spirit of J.C. Jacobsen and literally taste how far we have come in our constant search for the finest and purest beer possible. Of course, you are always welcome at the Jacobsen Brewhouse - it all starts right here at Visit Carlsberg.
