Carl's Lager
ABV. 4,3%

Brewed since 1847. In the 14'th century the Bavarian brewers developed a new, long and cold brewing process the so-called bottom fermentation. The combination of the new brewing process and the high use of hops was the cornerstone of this new beer type called lager.
The first beer made at Carlsberg was this particular variety of the lager
. A taste of dark malt, medium body and medium bitterness with a hint of apples, plum and wood.

Carl's Porter
ABV. 7,8%

Brewed since 1895. In the 18'th century the Imperial Stout emerged as a beer exported to the Russian Tsar by Thrale's brewery in London. Carl’s Porter has been inspired from this stout and the first version was made in 1885 and in its present form since 1895. A black coloured, strong porter type. Strong rich taste of black malts, heavy body and high bitterness with a touch of sweetness. 


Carlsberg Pilsner
ABV. 4,6%
 

Brewed since 1904. A pilsner type inspired by the Czech traditions. The Carlsberg logo, made by Bindesbøl, is developed with this beer and is today Denmark's largest international brand. A light coloured beer with a taste of pale malt and a light body with medium bitterness.
Probably the best beer in the world.....



Carlsberg Elephant
ABV. 7,2%

Brewed since 1959. Came out in 1955 in India and in Denmark 1959. The reason for portraying 3 elephants is that 2 elephants bring bad luck in Asia. A light coloured bottom fermented bock beer. Won the Superior Taste Award 2006 at the International Taste & Quality Institute (ITQI) in Brussels. Strong rich taste of pale malt, a heavy body and high bitterness with balancing sweetness and a hint of fruit.


Carlsberg 47
ABV. 7,0% (seasonal)

Brewed since 1972. A dark coloured bottom fermented bock beer also known as C47. Came out on Carlsberg’s 125'th birthday as the first strong Christmas beer. Strong rich taste of dark malt, a heavy body and high bitterness with a touch of sweetness.





Carl's Special
ABV. 4,4%

Brewed since 1994 on Carlsberg’s 150'th birthday on keg and in 1996 on bottle. Won a beer election among 6 others in 1996-97. A dark münich-type with a taste of dark malt, medium body and medium bitterness.

 



Carlberg Masterbrew
ABV. 10,5%
 

Brewed since 1996. A very strong lager that won a strong 2. place at the beer election in 1996-97 among 6 others. A strong taste of pale malt and relatively sweet with a hint of alcohol, heavy body and high bitterness.

 



Carl's Hvede
ABV. 5,8% 

Brewed since 2001. A golden coloured wheat beer which exists only on draft. Was part of the beer election in 2003 and was a forerunner of speciality beers in DK. A fruity taste from the yeast and a hint of coriander and cloves which is custom in wheat beers. A medium body with low to medium bitterness.                              



Carlsberg 2,7
ABV. 2,7%

Brewed since 2002. Was first brewed in 1902. In 1984 it changed its name from let pilsner to Carlsberg Light. In 2002 the beer was replaced by a sweeter version. Finally in 2008 it changed name to Carlsberg 2,7 due to the new Lite version which came out in that year.
A light coloured pilsner type, low on alcohol with a taste of pale malt. A light body with light to medium bitterness.




Carl’s Ale
ABV. 4,5%

Brewed since 2005. A dark coloured ale type which exists only on draft. Strong notes of green apples from the top fermented yeast and a hint of citrus from the American Cascade hops. A light flavour of darker malt types, light body and medium bitterness.  

 

 

 

Tuborg Products:

 

Tuborg Grøn (Tuborg Green)
ABV. 4,6%

Brewed since 1880. The first pilsner in Denmark. A light coloured pilsner type with a taste of pale malt. Light body and medium bitterness. Tuborg resembles the Carlsberg pilsner when it's cold but at warmer temperatures the difference will emerge more clearly.




Tuborg Guld (Tuborg Gold)
ABV. 5,8%

Brewed since 1895. Originally intended as an export beer in 1875. A light coloured pilsner type, slightly sweeter than Tuborg Grøn with a taste of pale malt. Medium body and medium bitterness. Tuborg Gold is also known as “Den gyldne dame” (The golden Lady) due to the label on which the first Danish supermodel Annette Susanne Strøyberg (1936-2005) is portrayed.

 

Kb Hvidtøl
ABV. 1,7%

Brewed since 1896. A black coloured and very sweet lager with low alcohol. Originally a top fermented pale ale which was drunk instead of water since 1618. It is now made with bottom fermented yeast. A taste of black malt with a heavy body, very low bitterness and high sweetness due to a very short fermentation process.
In Denmark we have a tradition of drinking this beer with rice pudding during Christmas time.


Tuborg Rød (Tuborg Red), ABV. 4,4% (seasonal)
 

Brewed since 1923. Was originally the first beer from Tuborg in 1875. A dark coloured lager type. It is only produced once a year on the occasion of the International Workers' Day the 1'st of May. A taste of dark malt, light to medium body, and medium bitterness.

 



Tuborg Fine Festival
ABV. 7,5

Brewed since 1955. A light coloured strong lager or bock beer. Was made for the crowning of Queen Elisabeth the 2'nd. Strong rich taste of pale malt, a heavy body and high bitterness with a touch of sweetness.

 




Tuborg Påskebryg (Tuborg Easter Brew)
ABV. 5,7% (seasonal)
 

Brewed since 1973. The first Tuborg Easterbeer was made in 1906 only on barrels and in 1931 the first bottle was released. Since 1965 it has generally been known as “Kylle Kylle” (Chicken Chicken) An amber coloured lager or märzen beer. Malt flavour, slightly sweet with a medium body and medium bitterness.


 

Tuborg Julebryg (Tuborg Christmas Brew)
ABV. 5,6% (seasonal) 

Brewed since 1981. Originally a mix of 3 beers. An amber coloured lager or märzen with a malt flavour and some sweetness. Medium body and medium to high bitterness. In Denmark we have a Christmas craze every time this beer comes out. The workers at Carlsberg dress up to the occasion in blue Christmas outfits and deliver free beers to the Danish pubs throughout Denmark. This year, the Chritmas craze
will start on Friday November the 7'th.

Tuborg Classic
ABV. 4,6% 
 

Brewed since 1993. Was introduced in celebration of Tuborg's 120'th birthday. An amber coloured pilsner. A hint of malt with a touch of sweetness in taste. A light body and medium bitterness.  

 




Tuborg Super Light
ABV. 0,1%

Brewed since 1993. Tuborg Super Light is brewed as a normal Tuborg Pilsner, subsequently the alchohol is removed making the beer low on calories. A light coloured pilsner with a rich taste of barley and a light body and low to medium bitterness.
